Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW)

The Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) in the Arab Republic of Egypt was established in 2004. The Holding Company, in collaboration with its 24 affiliated companies, is working to improve hygiene and increase access to safe drinking water and sanitation; increase the productivity of water; develop the required skills through capacity building, institutional strengthening and policy/ regulatory reform; direct investments to meet immediate needs, build infrastructure, and mobilize local capital; transfer of advanced-technologies and know-how to the water and wastewater sector and investments in research and development (R & D).

International Union for Conservation of Nature IUCN

The International Union for Conservation of Nature is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organization. IUCN was founded in October 1948 as the International Union for the Protection of Nature (or IUPN) following an international conference in Fontainebleau, France.

Conserving biodiversity is central to the mission of IUCN – demonstrate how biodiversity is fundamental to addressing some of the world’s greatest challenges: tackling climate change, achieving sustainable energy, improving human well-being and building a green economy.

Al-Balqa' Applied University

Agence du Bassin Hydraulique du Souss Massa et du Drâa, Maroc

La zone d’action de l’Agence s’étend sur une superficie de 27.880 km²; soit 4% du territoire national, regroupe les Bassins Hydrauliques du Souss, Massa, Tamri, Tamraght et les Bassins Côtiers Atlantiques situés entre Tiznit et Sidi Ifni. Economiquement cette zone est considérée comme le deuxième pôle du pays.

Office National de l’Assainissement ONAS, Tunisia

ONAS activities include studies related to sanitation master plans in cities and Governorates, feasibility studies, prospective studies and final design studies related to sewerage networks, pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants.

ONAS works on the implementation of sanitation projects and supervision of the projects conducted by such other parties as public or private developers and on Operation and maintenance (O & M) of sanitation networks and facilities.

ONAS provides technical assistance and guidance to local government and other public or private institutions or enterprises in the field of water pollution.
